DIY Cabaret: Feminism is No Joke! & Reciklart Open Stage

Cabaret

DIY Cabaret: Feminism is No Joke! is a series of cabarets that opens up a space where performers create without the censorship and restrictions of classic stages – where the ‘ugly’ is beautiful, the non-normative desirable and the ‘unattractive’ attractive. Content, desires and pleasure are in the foreground; mistakes are not only allowed, but even desired. Within the cabaret series, we examine topics related to gender and sexual orientation, which are often ignored or suppressed in society. At the same time, we strive to create a safe space for all participants. The 20th anniversary edition will be very special: you can expect a large selection of group acts, live music, female artists in the air and on the ground. The underlying theme of the cabaret will be anti-militarism.

At the Recklart festival, we will open up the cabaret to feature also visiting acts that will be integrated into the overall performance.
