Processing Food Waste into Biomaterials

What happens to food scraps once we throw them away? The starting point of the workshop will be to explore the issue of food waste and investigate how we can transform biological waste - such as coffee grounds and ground eggshells - into biomaterial, which we will then combine with natural binders and molds, and use to create cup coasters. The workshop offers a practical insight into the development of biomaterials and demonstrates how we can transform waste into useful everyday objects through a creative approach and the principles of circular economy.
