Aerial silk workshop
Mentor: Pamina Milewska (Aut) (Zračni VzGib)
In this creative workshop the participants will be invited to use their aerial silk vocabulary categorized in climbs, poses, drops, eventually dynamics and ways to go down. After warming up the body we will gather what is already known and combine it in new ways, meaning we will work on new transitions. Then we will teach the short creations to each other and ideally practice listening while executing it together. We will finish with a cool-down.
Duration: 1,5 - 2 hours.
Workshop is organized in collaboration with a project called Zračni Vzgib.
Authors: Nina Pernat, Katarina Kolenc and Doroteja Erhatič

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the festival, a group exhibition of two photographers and a sculptor touches upon the issue of plastic and its use. Through problematising it, through attempts at reuse and alternative creative processes, the artists walk through the festival's ten-year archive, its development and its participants.
The exhibition consists of ten graphics of festival’s posters printed in black and white screen printing technique on wallpaper. The printer Danijela Zajc saved the discarded wallpaper a few years ago and found a new use for it. The Reciklart team cutted the posters out of the wallpaper, on which Danijela printed. The amount of material determined the size of the reprint, i.e. 8 copies per poster for 8 editions and 4 or 3 for two editions. Because the series is so small and because mistakes are cool, Danijela's reprint left its mark, and the posters became unique. Signed and numbered graphics will be available on donation.

Daniel Leber, an Argentinian artist and art historian with Slovenian roots, presents himself at the Pešak Night Exhibition Gallery with a solo exhibition entitled "Hypersymbolism", which was created as part of his residency at Atelier Azil (ACC Metelkova). In his artistic research, the author combines the folk tradition of painted beehive endings with (South American) modernism and contemporary art. Leber created ten wooden end tables for the current exhibition, which are complemented by symbols painted on the walls.
You are invited to a sewing workshop where we will create unique items such as tobacco pouches, pencil cases, and keychains from discarded movie posters (tarps). No prior sewing skills are needed to participate in the workshop—just bring a good mood!
The workshop is led by Luka Podgoršek, who has been active for several years in groups at ACC Metelkova. Luka is formally trained as a tailor and emphasizes sustainable values in his work, which is most evident in his use of recycled materials and the "do-it-yourself" philosophy.

Mentor: Pamina Milewska (Aut) (Zračni VzGib)
In this aerial silk workshop Pamina will share a combination of vocabulary on the silk and invite the participants to work on the „how“ after learning it. The „how“ includes questions like: Where is the gaze? How is the rhythm? The dance is happening in the transitions.
Duration: 1,5 - 2 hours.
Workshop is organized in collaboration with a project called Zračni Vzgib.
The lecture addresses the issue of the introduction of microplastic particles into marine ecosystems. 8 billion tons of plastic end up in the sea every year. Larger pieces of plastic gradually break down into tiny, hard-to-remove particles. A large part of the plastic already enters the sea in the form of microplastic fragments, which are the result of washing clothes. All these particles gradually find their way to different parts of the ecosystem, accumulate in sediment, travel with currents and are transported and accumulated in marine organisms through the food web, and ultimately end up on our plates.

Painted beehive panels are a typical Slovenian folk art and have been made for about 150 years. The oldest known beehive panel dates to 1758. Originally intended for decorating beehives, they have now become a domestic decorative element and a part of Slovenian culture. Many of their motifs illustrate historical events, folk sayings and wisdom, depicted in a non-realistic style. What would the beehive panels of today look like? This workshop is dedicated to making your own beehive panel with your own stories on recycled wood.
Together, all participants will create a giant dragon out of plastic bottles and bags, lift it into the air and light it up with solar lights. Everyone over 5 years old is welcome, but if you're younger, don't panic, just bring someone older to help you. :)
Drawing jam session and zine-making workshop
Mentor: Miha Perne
Fanzines or zines are booklets, mostly self-published "do-it-yourself" publications, produced in small editions and with low production costs. They emerged as an essential medium for certain subcultures of the last century, including fans of punk and science fiction. Even today, zines are a popular form of artistic expression. In the Zinkubator Corner, we will learn how to make our own zine - this time on the theme of plastic! Together we will draw, write, collage and photocopy our thoughts and ideas. Each participant will get their own copy of the zine. Drawing skills are not a prerequisite for participation.
Mentor: Petja Kolenko
„A Ordem das Coisas/The Order of Things“ is the title of an experimental circensian mono-piece in which the character „Hortelãzinha“ researches and discovers the universe of cleaning on the ground and in the air. Which is the order of things? How does it have to be? What if we change the order of things? Hortelãzinha loves music as it makes the emotions flow.
Welcome to 23 minutes of chaos which also has its order…
What do have sensual piano sounds, sounding beats, pointed magic texts, a tape deck archaic-endtime melodies and a singing audience (yes, also humming and speaking) have in common?
They all tell about the adventures of Julian alias jpeg and a touching love story through music. Rap and read lyric, together with progressive rock and ballad like improvisations create a musical world (similar to a movie) wherein true encounter is happening. This evening is for all the brave out there and those who want to become just that. Brave to listen, inside and around.
In the No-BorderCraft workshop we will crochet small and larger baskets from waste cotton strips, which will be available for sale at the bazaar, alongside other products. The workshop is designed for complete beginners as well as for those who already have basic crochet skills. Materials will be provided, but it is advisable to bring a crochet hook #10 (some will be available at the workshop). For a voluntary contribution, you will also be able to take your (semi-)finished product with some cotton yarn to finish it at home.
No-Border Craft is a self-organised group of asylum-seeking, refugee and activist women who "crochet and socialise together without borders". In doing so, they build social networks between local residents and migrant women and work to empower and promote the skills, experience and courage of migrant women. Eight years ago, they started crocheting and creating community together at the Rog Social Centre; after the evacuation of Rog, they found a meeting place at the Slovenian Philanthropy.
At the bazaar they will present their crocheted products, for which all voluntary contributions will be donated to women asylum seekers and refugees.
With a little creativity and skill, discarded packaging will become an extra special pencil case or pot for pencils, brushes, felt-tip pens... In this workshop you will choose a discarded bottle, decorate it, add a button or zipper if you like and take home the coolest pencil case or pot. Everyone over 5 is welcome, but if you're younger, don't panic, just bring someone older to help you. :)
Traditionally, on Saturday, the last day of the festival, the Reciklart sales fair is held from 17h onwards, where anyone can register - individuals or groups who create any products with the help of recycling or the do-it-yourself principle. Applications are closed.

Madam Karmam is first and foremost (only) human. It exists for (and because of) a fellow human being. The music she performs is closely related to the self-reflective formation of her young identity and artistic expression. With sensual and colorful Latin American rhythms, he creates an intimate atmosphere with the guitar, which he fills with interpretations of thoughts about social inequalities, injustices, love, feminism, rebellion and other important topics. With the help of the extraordinary Luke Kuhar, who adds depth and tension with various percussion and guitar inputs, Madam Karmam creates a musical experience that is extremely emotional and challenging.
